My name is Ms. Mitchell and I am a 10th grade English teacher at Osseo Senior High. This is my 18th year working with youth out of district and my second year here at OSH. I am looking forward to spending time working with your young adults this school year. I received my Undergraduate Degree from the University of Minnesota in Elementary Education and later received my Master's Degree in Communication Arts and Literature. I also obtained a second Master's in Differentiated Instruction from Concordia University to better serve the needs of students. I currently reside in Brooklyn Center with my growing family while sending love to my oldest daughter attending her second year at a post secondary institution.
COVID-19 has completely restructured my way of teaching. Please know that like many families, I am teaching through trauma, thinking through trauma, creating through trauma, and experiencing through trauma. It is with this notion of shared experiences, I will continue to support and assist scholars and families in any way that I am able to.
